Hello
Google have made Google Earth Pro free to all those not running the latest operating system (Windows 8, I think). So if you're lucky to be running an older pc with Windows 7 you can download it from here: http://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/earth/download/gep/agree.html. Once installed, enter your email address as your user name and GEPFREE as the password. I don't know what extra features Pro has over regular Earth but it cost £200 to buy so there must be something in there. Being travelling, earthy sorts I thought you lot might be interested. As Andys said make sure you enter the code GEPFREE when asked for the serial number then log in
