Taken the plunge and ordered a new Defender today
I have continued with my childlike happiness with the Defender 90XS HT I bought last year. The only problem with it is my wife keeps nicking it and leaving me with her car!!
Finally caved in and decided that with the end of (UK at least) Defender production in sight it was the time to trade in my wifes SLK:
Ordered a Keswick Green, 90 County, with cubby box, heated seats and heated screen, side running boards, rear rubber mat n front mats, and dealer Waxoyling. Due delivery March/April. Most expensive way to get my own vehicle back I've ever known. Even more childlike happiness now Very Happy

Hi CFB, I agree, would have preferred aircon too, but getting on PCP and wanted to stay in budget...the guy at the dealers deserves a knighthood for juggling the options for me over our 3 week negotiations! ( I know ultimately he got the sale which is what he is there for, but saintly patience was shown by him Laughing )

Fair enough, it's just one of those thing you can't easily retro-fit unlike other bits and pieces.

I'm still very envious though Smile Andy

Perfick, nearly...
Most excellent, that is my near perfick order Moj... Bow down

Except, I am guessing from your post, you are donating it to SWMBO for some reason... Shocked

I'd be tempted to let her keep the old one she is so fond of nicking and brandish the new one myself... Whistle

Good news from my dealer today. The 90 CSW has been built and taken onto their stock today. Should be with them in a week. WooHoo!

I would have thought being on PCP would have made you even hotter, not cooler and so AC was even more necessary?

Congrats mojo, waiting pain is almost over then Wink Mine has just began two weeks ago!

Not good news though to hear that your wife is nicking the truck - I can just hope that my 110 will be too big for my other half. Otherwise, I'm in a pickle, she has an SLK too and it's not the most joyful experience to be spotted in it Very Happy

After a slight hiccup with getting the road tax done through the online system, our new Landy 90 CSW arrived home today. Took the opportunity in the sunshine to get some extra security in, seat covers n mats in.
Then SWMBO drove off to work in it for the week ..... Big Cry

I now officially have Keswick and window envy Sad

Did you end up going for an XS then, rather than a County with options?  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
