It's an SHB hire 110, they've normally been used and abused then tarted up and stuck out for sale. Was unfortunate enough to have one of their 110's as a loaner, had 8K on the clock and drove like a bag of bolts. 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon

Even at £13,750 its a bit expensive isnt it?

Td5 County with no extras.. Admittedly the mileage is quite low, but I've driven plenty of fleet vehcile and seen plenty of military vehicles get thrashed. We have a van in work that has 4000 miles on the clock and will be up for auction soon. Someone will think it's been sat in a compound and only done the odd journey. In reality, it gets a 500m sprint from freeing cold, in first or second gear, twice a day..

Caveat Emptor!

I suspect that it was meant to be £11,375.00 and someone put in one-too-many zeros.

SHB Group are a big company and their Airdrie depot is only along the road from me, unusual they have zero feedback as they've been members since 2011

Probably zero feedback as they'll have never completed a transaction through ebay. They're using ebay purely for advertising, not as a selling tool...

The mismatch tyres is pure SHB, they will only change a tyre when they hit the legal limit and then fit whatever they can get the best price for! It makes accounting sense but not traction sense!!

Just to add to this, we hire a lot of SHB vehicles for opencast work. Whilst well maintained they get abused to death. Its cruel the way they are treated on mines. Rolled, drowned, buried, hit by machines, ragged across site spending 90% of the journey airborne, left running all night because everyone forgot to turn it off (with all the doors wide open so the inside is soaked) you name it.

The defender is still the only vehicle in the world that will do the job, but would I buy an ex SHB one????? probably not Whistle

I second that... Nearly swapped my old 90 for a lovely white 110, low miles, immaculate, even drove well!

My old man said he'd come with me on swap day, he was a motor mechanic for ford many years ago when he started at 15. We pulled up and he told me to leave it!

After convincing him to take a closer look he showed me lots of things I hadn't noticed on the initial inspection! It had been very well resprayed from a distance but in the right light you could see all the filler that was needed - the panels must have been beaten with a hammer in its previous life. The interior had also been stripped and sprayed! Honestly I could go on all day and the guy claimed it had never been sprayed and was original when I asked!

Needless to say I did walk away and learnt a lot from it - much to the guys dissatisfaction! My old man reckoned he would have sold my defender on easier and got more money so it was win win for him - I thought he was genuine when he said he wanted my 90!!! Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon
Then: 2004 2.5 TD5 90 Hard Top (X-Tech Edition)
