Add me to the 'satisfied customer' list.

Ordered the remap box on Wednesday afternoon, got it yesterday (Thursday), downloaded my standard map and sent to Pete yesterday, got it back by 11pm (with an apology for taking so long!).

Uploaded it to the 110 this morning (yes, I know I've only had the truck a week, bt it had done 4000 miles, so I don't feel so bad about remapping it so soon), and it's a great transformation!

Doesn't turn the Defender into a Ferrari (an extra 30BHP and a bit more torque won't do that!), but, what it does do is to somehow make eveything a lot smoother and free-er. Seems to rev much more freely, and the gear ratios seem to 'gel' more.

Only subjective thing so far, is that although the first run post-remap seemed a 'flyer', on the second and third runs the engine seems a bit coarser and slower (like pre-remao). Could it be me getting used to the remap, or the ECU adjusting itself?

Anyway, very happy, and it does work on Windows 7. All you need to do is to install the USB>serial drivers manually.

By the way, you can get even more up-to-date USB>serial drivers from FTDI (google it).

P.S. Also neither related to, nor sleeping with Pete Bell..... Smile

Thank you for your feedback James.

The ecus are adaptive so it could be a mixture of it adjusting while you are at the same time learning how it lieks to be driven best.

From the miles ive done testing various and also the feedback given to me they do like to be worked in lower rpm rarther than higher rpm, keeping it within the lower torque range letting it pull higher gears sooner seems to produce a better drive.

Pete

England 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Stornoway Grey
Thanks Pete.

Have to say, the second and third runs were done in stop-start traffic (school run), so maybe not comparing 'apples for apples'.

Have a long-ish A-road and motorway run today. Will see how it feels on that. There was defninitely a marked improvement on my first run yesterday.

BTW, the software link after your signature doesn't seem to work.

Thanks again.
