I have no idea sorry. Heater control of some descript perhaps? What happens if you allow it to count down to zero.

Had no clue it had been sitting there all this time. Did a full service, changed the clutch master cylinder and replaced the drive belt without ever noticing it. If it works you'll be toasty. I ran a D4 in my boat a few years back - super piece of kit when it's working well, expensive parts and service

The D5WS is a different beast to the D4 which I ran on my boat. Yours heats water (I think) and mine basically burned diesel to produce hot air.
