I fitted dirt d-fenders when I was running 285s on Boosts with 30mm spacers and the vehicle was getting absolutely plastered - you couldn't open the windows off road because the inside would fill with mud.

The dirt d-fenders completely transformed this, brilliant product!

I have since had to take them off since I have fitted rock sliders and they'll need some fettling to fit. Not an issue at present though since I have reverted to narrower tyres for the winter.

They are quite a snug fit onto the panel and wheel brow, think the extra gaps/thickness of the c/plate would be too much, to keep it all tidy, and would have to "pack" under the wheel brow to make allowances

Mud stuff have a picture on their website of them fitted over chequer plate but they do look a little twisted. Here it is

At that price, it's worth a punt. I have 285 Coopers and anyone who says 'White doesn't show the dirt as much' is f***ing mad. This time of year with melting snow, I am driving around looking like I have been rallying, but without having been near a track or OR. So will take a chance with my CP.

Quick question for all, is there any point in the Forward-facing rear D-Defender? On a 110 to boot? I suppose if you do a lot of reversing? Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

I got the dirt-defender things fitted , do the job well , look ok , painted matching colour

better than my old defender that I had to rivet bits of rubber under the wing lip ( worked but looked cr@p )

Will see how they go

Jury is out on whether to colour code or not,, looking like they will stay as seen in black at present

Managed to get the Dirt D fenders fitted with chequer plate today with a bit of help from a grinder.

I removed the sill chequer, made a quick template and cut away a bit of the chequer plate, I don't think they would have fitted properly otherwise. Chuffed with the result.
