United Kingdom 2001 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Alveston Red
Midland Alan 42
Hi All,

I've got a Midland Alan 42 from ebay. I got it from Germany - picture below. But it defaults to channel 9. I've tried to change the frequency band using this procedure:

1. Switch off the unit.
2. Turn it on while pushing the "A/F-LCR" and "SC" buttons.
3. By pushing the Up and Down channel buttons, select the desired frequency band

But it doesn't seem to work is there a difference between Alan 42 and Alan 42 Multi?

Thanks

I am not familiar with this unit but some have a CH9 switch.....if this is in then only CH9 is selected.

I am sure you would have noticed....but sometimes the most obviuos does prove to be the least obvious!
