Just for interest, after cleaning out the grime and soot from the MAP sensor which is very easily removed from the steel pipe at the inlet manifold. The puma took about three driving cycles to become much smoother and no more jerking when cold. Even the tail pipe has much less soot now and no smoke on start-up.
Worthwhile doing if you have similar symptoms as me. It may be the cleaner diesel helping now that we again have access to the 50 ppm but by the amount of gunk on the sensor, I am sure the cleaning helped a lot. Last edited by CapeLandy on 13th Jul 2010 7:30pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Only in February next year
By the way, do you just blank the pipe joining to the intake manifold or on the outlet from the exhaust manifold? |

Brilliant - thanks - missed that section before. K9F I notice on one closeup that you are also missing a bolt on the exhaust manifold just aft of the heat shield - mine is also gone I assume from the bumpy dirt roads |
