i second the screen, they did with mine which not only did we loose a sticker but there was half a dozen smears of glue on it and i could still see the dinner plate sized sucker marks in two places, once again service i wouldn't pay for. all that said i wouldn't be surprised if it where your radiator grill, exhaust back box or damage to the top of the roof, any thing is possable

Right here is the list ive worked out so far
Top marks - windscreen It would appear indicator stalk The service manager is battling with land rover as he is clear it needs another clutch, this version (the 2nd generation) is not right They appear to have scratched a little bit of dash and there is some weird glue on the cubby box Another issue (thanks to Stratstones ever more amazing inability to touch a land rover without fing it up) radio code not correctly recorded after change - fortunately i was able to enter it Most of the behind dash brackets have been replaced, but i do need to check my Aux switch wiring as its all been moved On a plus I got a new windscreen - they have clearly adjusted all the doors Mike |

sometimes makes you wonder about complaining about a minor fault and getting a hoard of further problems caused by mechanics who couldn't care less.

Yes thanks (although i dont know why) - they are expecting it to be in next week for the clutch (and realign the rear door i hope) after they get approval - service manager did say he wont accept them not giving approval as there is a clear fault - rattle asside its not selecting as it should and for the first time ive heard a service manager say:
"you shouldnt expect it like a silky smooth freelander or discovery gear box - but you should expect it to smoothly and cleanly engage" - finally what i had been saying to stratstone for 2 years off to find my spotlight wiring now - thank goodness for an camera inspection probe Mike |
