So... I can't avoid it any longer - the wife insists she sees a London show when we visit in July
As the thought of musical theatre makes me retch, please can any of you sane males here "educate" me and suggest good shows you have seen. At least then I can make some positive suggestions and make up for all the sarcastic/negative things I just said to her to her off. Incidentally, she sent me to the forum so I'm already winning ground Many thanks, Matt p.s. you can PM me if you don't want to go public Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Don't go and see "We Will Rock You' - I thought it was just about OK at best.
If you like animals then maybe The Lion King or Warhorse - if you can get tickets |

Warhorse! Yes - I forgot that one. I watched a load of YouTube videos about the puppets - simply incredible!
Andy - thanks for the advice - very practical as usual Unfortunately I've already used that particular "Joker" at the cinema during the second midnight "surprise" matinee she dragged me to. They show "secret" pre-released films. The first one we went to turned out to be Cassanova (I was expecting Pirates of the Caribbean) and the second was Mama Mia (I was expecting Iron Man). After a few minutes of Pierce Brosnan trying to sing I stood up, said "this is " and walked out. I'm not sure what upset her more - me walking out or that several other blokes left with me Tell someone you love them today because life is short. Best musical in London at the moment by far is 'Sunny Afternoon' based on the music of the Kinks playing at the Harold Pinter theatre. Great performances and none of you luvy duvey Andrew Lloyd Webber stuff.

I would have liked that but Wifey isn't into "bands" - she has the radio on but never really listens to the music (and can't remember any song). Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Im not really into all this sort of thing and going to london to see shows, but last year my parents invited me along to see warhorse and I was amazed.
I thought it was fantastic, so much so I'd go back again to see it when the cast change around. Got 10/10 from me How the horses are done is incredible. You'll love it |
