I've not heard of many problems with the puma box, certainly fewer than earlier ones, which is interesting since they are all essentially the same. The most common place to leak is round the output shaft past the bottom seal, and the PAS fluid can then run along the drop arm and get to the damper area. It might be worth having a thorough clean to try to see where it's coming from.
It's not difficult to change the box but access is not good. If it's not dripping and the level isn't droppjng (assuming of course it is the box leaking), I wouldn't worry. |

Yes, it is tracking down the drop arm indeed.
The fluid level certainly doesn't seem to drop more is it actually dripping, just enough that there is oil marks present and to cause dampness there. I agree, I'm not worried really just wondered if there was likely to be anything come of it or not. I tend to just give it a clean of occasionally, usually only once or twice a year. |
