Hi thanks for the reply,
mine is a 2.4 and looks a different sensor, I've had a quick look in the dark this evening and believe its at the back of the engine in a right Censored of a place to get to, looks like bonnet off time! 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8

The 2.4 does not have a dedicated coolant temp sensor. It does have a CHT (Cylinder Head Temp) sensor located at the rear of the engine and it is a bit awkward to replace. Thumbs Up

Workshop manual states:

1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Disconnect the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor.
3. Release the CHT sensor wiring harness.
4. Using the special tool, remove the CHT sensor.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Tighten to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).

Special tool is Socket, CHT Sensor 303-680 and just looks like a mulipoint socket with a cutaway down one side.

Thanks! Obviously the cut out is for the cable, Iam hoping there's enough room for a open end spanner! Or il have to cut the wires and use a rachet spanner!

Maybe a crows foot wrench would save you having to cut any wires or even a lambda sensor socket depending on what the actual size required is?
