Hi Walfy
I've had a couple of messages re your old unit. Can you please confirm so I can advise them correctly that your last use with the box was to return the last tuned car to original ? And now its only needing erasing as you don't have a windows PC. I ask to just confirm because as we know the last car must be standard before the software will allow us to erase the box so I'm just double checking. I will of course fully support the new user and sell them a new tuned file to match their car once the box is erased. Kind regards Pete. |

Yes, my D3 was returned to normal map. I did offer the remap to the new owner but they weren't interested. The unit contains both the normal and tuned map. As stated I don't have a windoze PC to clear it. I can try and find one in the next 24hrs to ensure it is cleared but can't promise. I'll allow you over the threshold and use my laptop (as long as you leave your istuff in a sealed box on the drive

Well after a quick trip to Swinedon and connecting to an old fashioned PC the BAS tuning unit is now wiped of all D3 maps. In fact it was connected to my old CarPC which is for sale if anyone is interested.
So now the unit is good for anyone to purchase and then speak to Pete to get your map. Someone must want the grin factor that this little box can bring to you 110 D250 SE HT

It's complete. I ran it originally in my 90 truck cab. If you ping Jamie a PM he'll give you the low down on specs. I sent it to him for a health check and updates some time ago and forgot all about it. He reminded me about it the other day when I was there with him. 110 D250 SE HT

It's built into a voomPC box, so looks like an audio amp. very well made. I'll have to dig it out ofthe attic, but it's based ona miniITX motherboard (to fit into the voomPC box), quite high spec so runs memory map etc without the screen juddering. one of these <--- Has a 120GB hard drive in it, so loadsa room for music/files etc. (although I'd be inclined to swap the drive for a SDD type, as I did with my carPC, as the mechanical drives don't like damp and being banged around that much. One I fitted my SDD I can tootle across bumpy ground at silly speed and not have any PC probs) |

Thanks - I had looked but couldn't find that page! So I think that works out to about 450 for this box and a remap file. I see BAS offer a tuning pack for 395 plus vat for the D3 which says it includes full software updates. Does this box and map do that too?

Callum, Think you need to look at the maths of your calculations again.

Walfys box and a new file works out cheaper than a new unit at a total of £450 including the VAT charged on the file.
