Had a quick search of the forums but couldn't find the answer I was looking for.
Vac pump is leaking badly on my 08 Puma. I know they've made several revisions of the pump as leak is a known problem, so if I buy LR014973 will I get the most recent revision? http://www.lrdirect.com/LR014973-Pump-Assy-Vacuum/ - I know WABCO make the pump so is the one from britpart or allmakes OEM? Aside from undoing a few bolts and aligning the camshaft to make it fit ok, anything else I need to consider when fitting?? Cheers |

Does this still apply? It's only just started leaking and I'm on an 08 plate

To expand on this, I've done some research into these service bulletins.
I bought my 08 plate Defender in 2013 and I was the first person to get it serviced at a dealer (Nov 2014). Turns out that 2 of the recalls: No.LTB00177 (vac pump leak) and No.SSM38792 (engine knock noise) apply to my VIN. They're also both happening (vac pump is leaking and then engine knocks horribly on startup). So if I ring my dealer and explain this, would I still get it fixed by them for free? Or do I need to shell out the money myself (do the work myself) to fix them?? |

I don't know about how things will work out with the dealer, but the knock refers to a PCJ fault and i'm afraid it isn't a small fix...
Have a search on here for PCJ |
