I have to say (tempting fate), that in 2 years and 20,000 miles, mine's been pretty sound. I have had a trabsfer box oil leak, but that's about all. Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Likewise, we took delivery of a new 110 USW in November, and, touch wood, not a fault to report!

After 60 odd years of practice, nice to see they are starting to get things right!
Perhaps the final year production run will be worth buying, Defender style with FL2 reliability!! Keith |

I can really feel the positivity vibes with this Defender ............ so the Prophets of Doom, the toothless old hags muttering "They all leak like a sieve"! and the muttering recyclers of pub myths can shuffle off and await the end of the world.
Absolutely delighted with the Defender |

although not a breakdown my 2013 had the transfer box replaced early in its life (constant transmission 'chatter') No other faults at all although only covered 8500 miles. Going on a 4000+ trip at the end of May so fingers crossed it stays this way
Gear box and clutch clunked and banged their way through first 4000 miles, sweet as a nut since 110 SW Aintree Green |

3000 miles covered in just under two months and no problems to report on my 2014 MY utility. Absolutely loving it.

3,000 miles now covered and absolutely zero defects to report. This has included a gentle run in for the first 2,000 miles and then a couple of weekends exploring the green lanes across Cumbria, Westmoreland and Northumbria. Weather wise it has seen monsoon style downpours (and it doesn't leak), gale force winds (it does sway about) and sunshine (the interior does get hot).
It just does what I expected it to do. |

MY 14 110 xs sw... 3000 + miles Front passenger foot well has the swimming pool option that is never requested. Passenger second row doorcard pops off along with lock button. Trim on b pillar on drivers side ejects from mounts on any bump... So I guess some are still the same as before! Touching wood these are minor to others issues 90 & Wolf
110 XS Previously owned SI SII SIIa SIII & Light weight (air portable) |
