Alarm query
Can someone please tell me where the sensor is situated on a 110TD5 when you lock and unlock the car with the key fob button. I seem to have a delay in the signal sometimes, despite having a new battery in the fob.

I believe it's behind the instrument panel.

Mine has always had this issue (over 10years..!)

I've not been able to fix it, intermittently the car won't activate the door locks, but the alarm arms/disarms and the indicator lights flash. I have to manually activate the locks with the key.

Looking forward to hearing any fixes.

Cheers

Simon

On a 90, assuming it's the same on 110 the alarm remote receiver is up behind the drivers side speaker. Just drop it out and you will see 2 plastic boxes screwed to panel just higher than the speaker hole.

The aerial for the receiver is an orange wire that just hangs out, it's about 20cm long with about 5mm of insulation stripped off.

Extending the wire can improve the range.
