There isn't a radio fitted to the Heritage out of the box...
But I'm guessing the XS norm will be the 016AF version with BlueTooth @ £541.67... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

£541.67 for a radio/CD!
I called into Halfords a couple of weeks ago and the very helpful chap in the Bexhill branch said they could supply and fit a Kenwood or similar radio/CD with bluetooth for approx £175 depending on whether it needs an additional cable. Think I will be going down to Halfords then! |

Not sure Paul, and I have been known to be wrong according to SWMBO...
But I think the JLR price includes the speakers, which are possibly not factory fitted unless there is a sound unit installed... That would seem to make more sense of the price at any rate, in which case the Halfrauds rate is not comparable... Rog... The GREEN One... I'm not sure Rog, but I seem to recall reading in the brochure that 'radio preparation' is included in the price of a base 90 Defender which is what the Heritage is based upon.
I would have thought that 'radio preparation' would have included speakers, but I could be wrong. On another note the sun hatch looks quite good value compared to the radio, do you think it would be a worthwhile upgrade or would I just be creating somewhere else for the 90 to leak from? |

I don't really know either Paul, but the description does mention Speakers... Perhaps the wiring is all included and system ready, but the hardware isn't... I would check with the squealer, if they weren't as clueless as me... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

I think you probably know a lot more about the Defender than most Land Rover Salesmen Rog.
I've had a look at the brochure and I can't find the reference to 'radio preparation' but it does mention it on the Land Rover website but without actually telling you what 'radio preparation' actually is! I did notice in the brochure that £541.67 for the radio excludes VAT which means that if you can't claim the VAT back the radio will cost £650.00 which seems a huge amount for what it is. Has anybody on D2 fitted a radio to a base 90 and if they did were the speakers already fitted? |

Does anyone have an official options list for a Heritage for the UK market? I called my dealer yesterday who said that they would look into it
