Thanks Paul, appreciate the thoughts... It will be my 'first' motor and does me for my commute and other work stuff as well as our weekend jaunts with pooch! I currently have a roof rack and trailer for carting other stuff about, but am worried the HT will be too bare bones in the back for a daily driver... Rog... The GREEN One... Thanks Steve, you've been brilliant throughout my traumatic experiences... If it was going to be my third transport option and a work horse it wouldn't be so bad, I am envious of your situation... However, I have been thinking of doing just what you have suggested and forgetting the Heritage option in favour of any other Green choice, even to the point of going for an ex-demo and letting Simon loose on it... Thanks again for your thoughts too, they are appreciated... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

No need for a Hard Top to be 'bare bones' - this is our HT demo 90 Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Thanks Rog
Just want you to get the best truck for your money. I also think Keswick is a better colour than grassmere or whatever. I think not letting us add the Aircon to the Order means there already built and in a field or shed somewhere |

Looks really good Matt, but will surely add significantly to an already premium priced truck... Thank you Roger
Very true but then Limited Editions (and our interiors) are not about 'need', they are about desire ! Funnily enough I thought about you today when I put an order through to the Trim Shop for a 4 piece dash kit for our retro 90 trimmed in Keswick green leather |

Thanks Steve... Me too... I guess I really need to try and see a Keswick in the flesh... Although there is always Aintree as well to consider... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

Welcome to the old 110 or 90 dilemma . I've ordered a 90 heritage SW, however it's not as a replacement for my 110. That said, your adding into the mix the romance of a limited addition model. For me, the heritage is a really nice option and I would take it over a 90 sx with air conditioning. It's horses for courses. It's also a difficult making a choice on a car that's not physical yet.

If I had an SW on order I would be over the moon Nidge...
It is the HT thing that is bothering me most - hence the decision over sticking with the 90 HT or changing to a 110 SW (both Heritage!)... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

Well, the HT is nearer to the original, on which the heritage is based. If you only need two seats it's perfect.
Good luck |

Hi venomator,
I have a 90XS HT in Aintree. It is my only drive. Has cargo barrier. I love it to bits. For two of us plus a dog it works well. Good useable space in the back, less visibility of the stuff I carry for work. We have the CSW coming next month for my wife. Personally prefer the HT, just more my thing......BUT, deeply jealous of her Keswick green, AND reckon my new wolf's in cream would look better in my mind on her Keswick Being an Essex boy picking up Yorkshire ways I also like a discount..... |

Hi Roger,
There have been some valid points made regarding your situation and I can understand people recommending that you order a non heritage defender to your exact specification, this does make sense and you would probably get a discount off list price....... However, I think long term the heritage will hold it's value better than any other defender and probably be more sought after. If you can live without air con ( I hardly ever use it on my everyday car, I use heated seats far more which the heritage does have) I would definately order a heritage be it a HT or SW. If you stick with the HT the loadspace could be upgraded as suggested previously which I know would add cost but then again the HT is thousands cheaper to begin with! If I were in your position I would hold on to my order for the HT but as you have said to your dealer if a chance to swap your order to a 90SW comes up swap it to that. If you change your order from a heritage to a standard defender now and then a 90 SW became available I am guessing that you may not be then able to do that. All the best, Paul |

Very true Paul
I also use the heated seats more than the Air con. |

G'Day Rog, our "computer man"!
What you need is a Keswick XS (top spec) 90 S.W., with all the "Factory" options that you can think of. Ya probably can't get an Indus roof, but you can get Fuji white which would be good. You'll then have a very "individual" Defender specced up EXACTLY the way you want it, and you'll never be able to do that again! Martin. |
