So has the ship totally sailed on the Heritage? Was considering one but are there any dealers who will take orders for them?
Cheers! |

phone derby hunters up. Salesman told me saturday you can order any from them. They hadn`t sold any yet. Whichever I wanted!
But he didn`t mention about allocations etc. You never know he might be right!! Mentioned it to my dealer and he would be surprised if that was the case |

Theres a Heritage 90 HT up for grabs at the mo.
They just phoned me as I know the chaps and would like it to go to an enthusiast. If i don't get someone to phone soon it's going to go. I'm nothing to do with them but have bought numerous cars from them. Click image to enlarge I know I've got mine |

No Forest
I've bought defenders from both Cardiff and Newport and they both know that I'll buy anything if it's mint and special. My deposit was with Cardiff but when I thought some guys on the forum might miss out I made a call to see exactly what was left.I had spoken to a forum member I thought might like it, but they really wanted a SW. Newport only had a Heritage 90 HT left and kept it for 24hrs to see if I could find someone here that might want it. They phoned me at 3pm to say it's on the open market again. I've been on here while working all day just to see if anyone had an interest in it. i have the contact details if anyone is interested. |

Got ya. I honestly believe these will be almost deprecation proof if kept in great condition

Bit of a weird one here. Got my name down for a Heritage station wagon and deposit placed. It's definite all dealers have been told their allocation and yet my local place can't tell me if I've definitely got a car. Not sure why they're holding out unless some long-standing and favoured customers are being given time to make up their minds but it's rather frustrating. Anyone else had this?

Has your deposit been down long or have they just taken it?

Deposit put down on Thursday. Was told it was fourth one they'd received. Based on average dealer's allocation, I'd say I'm out of luck. I'm just not sure why they're stalling rather than telling me this.

They only got two Heritage SW per dealer here and thy were offered
To people with deposits from a while ago. I was lucky enough to have the choice but had to have the HT to keep my 110. They really have to offer all models to the first deposit and go down the list to be fair to people but it's also not fair to keep you hanging on. I hope you get your SW. I would keep phoning and tell them you need to know or you'll be phoning around to find one. |

Ah, well it's funny you should say that Steve. I have a very slim chance of getting one from somewhere else but it's a long shot at this stage. I mentioned this to the dealer, not as some act of brinkmanship but just to impress on him that if it was a 'no' I could do with being told so I could chase another chance before it went away. His attitude was that if I felt I could get a car elsewhere he didn't want to stop me. But nor would he say categorically that I couldn't get a car from them.
As you say, you'd think they simply worked through their list of interested parties on a first come, first served basis. I was relatively late to things, I've probably missed out. That's fine. I'm just puzzled as to why they can't say that. Hey ho. |

I wouldn't be happy either.
Seems there's very few to go around. The only thing could be that once they have the number of people interested they can maybe make more SW than HT and so on and fill peoples orders. |
