Removable 110 SW mid row seats
53 days 'til 110SW, (5 seater) in Keswick Green arrives!

Went for a 110, so I can get tools in the back with the mid row seats folded, or even out. Was wondering. Has anyone ever come up with a mod which lets you take out the middle row seats and put them back in again without having to fiddle with all those bolts? Very Happy

Cheers,

Martin

Should be quite easy to engineer - the main pivot could be replaced by some kind of 'clunk-in' arrangement. Some kind of a solid tube on the chassis side, with a C section tube on the seat side that would sit over the solid tube as you lowered the seat in place.

They are pretty heavy, so you'd want something that would work without the need to support the weight while fiddling / aligning things. Also, you'd need some kind of locking arrangement to stop the two sides seperating in a collision. My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk

Good one. Could be the easiest way. Don't have one here in front of me at the moment, to see how easy to switch them out for an alternative pin and what that leaves on the boot floor (whether it will damage or obstruct). Surprised no one produces something.

Thanks,

Martin

thinking either 3 short / normal, or one ma-hoo-sive bike style quick release bars.

If they can hold 18 stone on a 12 foot drop off sure they can hold a seat....

Bang on - far simpler than my solution!

A couple of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-Mountain-Bi...3f3a2e638c per seat. You'd need to cut them down and cut a bit of thread... My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk

Hi,

Picking it up 1st March. Date of post, 5th jan plus 25 days takes to end Jan, plus 28 days = end Feb, so 53 days is what I meant. Have I counted it wrong? Very Happy Thumbs Up
