Sounds the same as any other time. The EGR is disabled by the Alive remap but it still performs the self clean cycle on shut down to stop the valve from being coked closed.

It's freezing here too and I have standard LR engine tune, EGR sounds the same as any other time, 5 gentle chukas at same pace as always, no screeching or scratching sound, that is so for years now after I changed to exclusively using BP Ultimate diesel. :thumbs up You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Mine is fine when the car has run for 10 minutes, however on a cold day it sounds like it doesn't move properly.

If it sounds odd then it's probably a sign that it's going downhill. By that I mean it won't be long until it's .
I'm yet to know an EGR that is any good for any period of time. |

On a positive note if there can ever be one as far as EGR valves go, mine has been sounding ill when cold for at least two years and hasn't totally failed yet.....
