Obviously the general friendliness and helpfulness of the LR fraternity does not apply to all LR owners. May mk1collector and his ilk continue to have many uneventful miles of clean-hand waving Defenders owners, who no doubt, only manage to climb pavements when taking their kids to school.

Oh for goodness sake - I'm just making people aware that it might not be the best idea to PM security information to someone with only a single post Rolling Eyes

I'm trying to keep Defenders in the hands of their lawful owners - bad old me.

There will be a small number who will try everything to found out what owners are doing to protect their Defenders from theft.

I appreciate that almost certainly doesn't apply to you Yannis but come on - introduce yourself to the forum, take part a little and build up some trust before asking for this sort of thing as post number 1.

If raise awareness of common sense could lead to the prevention of a single theft I'm happy - that's a result and a help to the community of Defender owners.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Don't take not receiving a pm personally as the reason for anyone not receiving a pm is probably down to 2 reasons IMHO,

1. I am sure a few members on here know how to do this mod without giving possible future issues or totally immobilising the Puma hence don't want to risk telling some one how to do it in case they have immobiliser issues in the future.
2. There are those who know how to do it but want to keep the mod out of general circulation as it is also the way to bypass the immobiliser altogether. Thumbs Up

Thanks guys, your responses are appreciated. I totally understand that this sort of information shouldn't be dished out to anyone. It's a long time since I joined a new forum so it seems I have forgotten my forum etiquette.

Hello Everyone,

Hmmm... it's not an easy one to solve. I have been looking at this since the end of last year.
I have one lead with a supplier who claims it is designed for vehicles with ECUs + Alarms
(Standard OEM or Thatcham Cat 1 / 2 Alarms).

I have progressed this with one (long standing) member via PMs but we didn't get too far...

If anyone out there has done this on a 2.4 or 2.2, like others I would like to know

thanks SKIP

Please read martins reply Thumbs Up this is one of if not the most friendly forum I've been on but how did you expect a post throwing your teddies out of the pram to be replied to?

Ps: i don't drive up any pavements while dropping the kids off at school because it could damage my wheels Mr. Green
