Not a lot I can do about who's serviced it in the past Gum. Chances are if I was to buy a car based upon where it was last serviced I'd probably never buy another and I'd be riding a unicycle by now. Except knowing my luck the unicycle probably would have been built up by Halfords minus the pedals.

At the end of the day we all have good and bad experiences with dealers, including my own employer. Can you believe there are people who adore us and others who think we the most incompetent bunch of chimps ever to hold a snap-on socket.

Catherine, I am not sure where you are in Wiltshire but I would recommend MID engineering at Wantage for your next service. They are very genuine and I trust them 100% and have a great reputation for quality work.
