carpet and dynamat
Was wondering if anyone has dynamatted and fitted the exmoor trim full carpet set, this is for a base spec no soundproofing double cab, just fed up of having to shout on the motorway!

is it worth it?

thanks

Dynamat and Wright off road acoustic rubber mats in mine. Chucked the carpets away.

Short answer is, yes.

I Dynamatted my USW and fitted Exmoor carpets to the load area and rear seat area. Also egg crate foam on the loadspace side walls.

No need to shout on the motorway now.

Also, tyres seem to make a huge difference. I went from Conti cross contact to Grabber All Terrain 2s, and the difference was night and day. 2003 Td5 110 Hardtop
Now a 2013 110 USW too.

I was thinking of posting a similar question after reading November LRO International and read about 'halving the noise levels' in a Defender with an Exmoor trim moulded mat. Seems a bit optimistic, my Td5 h/t is fairly noisy even though i've used some Noise Killer sound deadening in the cab. Surely the std matting can't be that bad?
How much better is it after a few 100 £'s worth of Dynamat or Exmoor acoustic matting?

I noise killered my Td5 90 and had standard rubber mats, but the acoustic mat is much better. The exmoor trim mat is the same as the Wright off road one, exmoor buy in from Drew Wright, so I would buy direct. Once you lift up your parcel you'll understand why it works Whistle

I have only done the back in mine. I've got to do the roof lining when i have time but the difference is very noticeable.
driving on the motorway or faster A roads its a reasonably quiet car, You can have a conversation without shouting and you won't need the volume to the max on the radio when your on your own.
Highly recommend it. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
