Well dodgy, you can get a brand new galvanised chassis for 2/3rds of that if not less!

I thought that the sale of a chassis and log book is now illegal?
The only 'semi' legit reason for buying this would be to buy one of those 'export outside of the EU' trucks from Witham - if you could buy one without a cert of exportation, and build it onto that chassis & ID. I can't think of any other reason that wouldn't leave another owner bereft that anyone would buy it. Keith |

I too thought it was illegal? Or is it only illegal if you're only selling the V5 alone? An engine to TDi for!

It is illegal, and you wouldn't be able to register a vehicle reassembled on that chassis unless the numbers on the major components matched.
If he's broken a legit accident damaged vehicle he can sell the chassis but not the identity. |

Slightly off topic, but I was looking at potentially buying a little mini digger.
I saw a couple on ebay and they were from the same 0 rated seller, they were half the cost they should be and the seller was asking for contact via email or mobile only. I hit the 'report this item' button and it came up with a load of terms and conditions stating I had to be a 'law enforcement official' to use the facility - I'm not, so didn't. Where else do you report something dodgy?? Keith |

That's odd, you should be able to just report it without any problems.
He also has this for sale as well, surely this is the same e.g illegal? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-DEFEN...462f079a48 |
