New vdo MAF sensor but now have a noisy exhaust

Landy was stalling and down on power I Unplugged old air flow mass meter and Landy performed better, bought a VDO MAF sensor and plugged it in and now have a noisy exhaust at low RPM in gears. Sounds like exhaust is blowing but there is no leaks in the exhaust system. Does anyone know why and how to fix it.

Hi Greg L

Just fitted new maf to mine, The maf would not make the exhaust noisey, impossible, if the noise has started since you fitted it I would suspect its the intake pipework around the MAF which is not sealing correctly or by chance you have developed an exhaust leak at the same time but I dont believe in coincedence ! the leak will be either where it joins the air box or the where the pipe goes on to the maf. Check and recheck

It only does this when the MAF is electrically plugged in, I got hold of a friends MAF sensor on another working TD5 same symptoms. I'll give the down pipe a proper inspection since I haven't replaced that section of exhaust.
