Jono,
I see from you profile you have a 90. Not easy to drop the tank on a 90 Puma. When my breather hose split at the tank end I followed the procedure given in a previous post http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic25866.html The procedure worked for me and it will be a lot easier to fix next time (the LR breather hose lasts just over 3 years). If you do a search you will find others have used different types of hose to make a breather pipe that will last. |

Excellent write up of the procedure! Cheers.
It would have been great if LR had used some decent hose in the first place. I have seen rubber hoses on diesel generators perfect at 30 plus years of age, so why these rot so quickly is a mystery. Jonno |

If you go to a LR dealer for a replacement hose make sure you are sitting down when you ask the price. They are not cheap that is why other people have used something like generator fuel hose or marine engine hose.

I'll be doing the same, LR obviously used the cheapest garbage hose they could find. I certainly won't be paying LR prices. A bit of industrial hose will do fine.
