Shouldn't be any more than £250 - £300 maximum. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Jay Boy and Rob that is phenominally expensive.
I've had the rear fillet panels both sides done which included corrosion removal and subsequent treatment and sealing (ok I provided them with the treatment and sealant) but it never came to anywhere near that and it was a more complex detailed job? Rob's right about body shop prices. My dealer is a franchise with several different marques they used to use a single independant approved repair centre/bodyshop but have subsequently bought it and yes the prices have gone up. Are they replacing the panel??
If they don't have an "in house " body shop, they are putting a profit on top of the body shop cost A bit cheeky. I bet you can get it done for quite a bit less as said above, £250-£300 MAX!! |

Working in the Motor Trade I'd put money on the fact that they will call in their local SMART repairer to correct the damage. We have a one come into the dealership twice a week and that's exactly the sort of work we give him.
You do need to find a good one though, some are pants (we've had a pants one), but when you find a good one they are worth their weight in gold. Ours has already been to look at the Defender and will be doing some work on her in the new year. |

I was joking about the 666. But I did have my rear window fitted by the dealer £380 plus vat. When they charge their labour at £90 an hour your bill soon gets big.
I've had to have a fair bit of body work done over the years, I have a friendly body shop. Last edited by RobKeay on 26th Dec 2014 10:34am. Edited 1 time in total |

We had someone run into one of out vans last week. so sent it down to the body shop for an insurance quote as requested by the company. Waited a couple of days as you do and the quote arrived
The van is a new Vauxhall vivaro. Cost to replace, paint and put new decals on £1760.00 + VAT. |

I needed a front wing replaced a few years ago, dropped it into dealer for service and said you might as well do wing while at it.
Just under €1,000 for new wing, supply, fit and spray ! I nearly died with shock when I got the bill, haven't bought as much as a wiper blade off them since. |

T-Cut it yourself…
Other than that save your money. By the time you come to sell your truck, this scratch and the other wear and tear you’ll have collected won’t have lowered its value one single penny. Certainly not by the amount you’ll have spent trying to keep it pristine or rust-free! Peter |

I had an accident in our demo RCZ at work earlier this month.
Bodyshop quote for insurance was £2,300 worst case scenario. We repaired it in the workshop (only paint required was a parking sensor) and it came to £800.00 with all new parts. |
