Another accessories wiring question!!
Hi all, happy christmas!

Following a well worn path i'm afraid in terms of installing various accessories. Have searched the site and read plenty of threads but none fully address my question/planned set up.

Plan is to:

- Install a Blue Sea fuse box in the battery box fed from the battery via a relay so that it is switched.
- Run cables to the rear to a variety of items that will be powered inside the back of the utility. They will run from this fuse box.
- Run some cables forward to the area of the dashboard to do likewise

From reading threads it would seem in some cases piggy backing is fine but the belt and braces approach is to run new feeds from the battery box (or in this case the switched fuse box) - hence my planned approach

Questions are:

- Is there a better way to do this?
- Where is best to take the switched feed from?
- In terms of the relay to switch this fuse box I assume the relay rating in Amps must exceed the maximum possible draw of all connected items?

Items being installed are:

At rear

- Hand held VHF Radio charger
- Rear spots
- Amber strobes
- USB Charger sockets

On dashboard

- Sat nav
- handsfree phone system
- Phone charger
- DAB radio box
- USB charger sockets

Cubby box

- VHF radio
- charger socket

At bother ends am installing Blue Sea switches/charger sockets

Thanks in advance for responses

Paul
