So an update and closure.

It was concluded in the end that a new screen would be needed to solve the problem. The Warranty wouldn't cover the problem as the garage determined the fault being down to corrosion.

The quote for a new window, labour and of course a new tint was £275.00. After chatting with Andrew at SMC a plan was formed. They had 2 genuine screens in stock and at least one had the same tint as ours. So one was carefully wrapped up and sent overnight.

This afternoon we collected the car and everything is working as it should be. The actual bill to us was a whopping £61 inc VAT for the fitting. 2015 Audi Q3 Quattro S Line Plus 184 TDI Stronic

For anyone needing an emergency fix for this problem, just bridge the area with a piece of tinfoil. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
