It was till I did a left turn and thought a prop shaft had snapped off.
It would appear it's as simple as diff lock is partially engaging by itself. Happy to see its so simple a fix. It's just what's the best way to go about it. ![]() |

Turns out the 'c' shaped link that looks like a big staple was fouling on a bolt head as it was hanging too low and as such preventing a full movement of the diff lock lever and it would appear allowing the diff to lock up from time to time.
For the moment linkage is dis-connected. Will see how it goes. |

I have no idea why but every so often I have to crawl underneath and push the diff lock lever all the way across - the 'gear' lever don't push it all the way over and as you're all probably aware there's no adjustment.
so for the time being when the def starts to drive 'crapley' I crawly underneath and push the lever across ? the 'C' clip that joins the transfer box to the gear lever linkage needs to get replaced with a couple of 'rose joints' and an adjustable rod in between (or something similar). I surely can't be the only one suffering with this? |
