England 2011 Defender 130 Puma 2.4 SW Bali Blue
[For Sale] Laycorn storage boxes for sale,
Low cost Defender storage, fit between rear arches or on top if you have square rear wheel arches
I have a limited number of these in Grade A and B condition. They come with lifting handles on each end. Lid is removed by 3 quick release fasteners and is removable. Great for keeping the inside of your Defender tidy.

Grade A are almost as new, may have a few marks from storage, will have 3 lid fasteners and will look like the one in the pics below. come with a shelf and no holes in the body and no dents in the lid.
Grade B may have the odd hole in the body, will have at least one lid fastener, may have been repainted or numbered and will definitely have been used by the Army. Will come with a shelf and is still perfectly usable but not a pretty as the Grade A boxes
I am now offering postage on these by Parcelforce but unfortunately I can't use pallet wrap as they charge me a surcharge. I don;t know why, something about getting stuck on the conveyor belt !!!! I will cover the lids of the Grade A boxes with cardboard to protect them but the Grade B boxes will just be sent without.
Grade A £24 plus £10 postage
Grade B £10 plus £10 postage
Collection is welcome from sunny Skegness,
I am happy to take either Paypal or bank transfer, prefer the latter. 90 300 TDI SW (sold)

Hi the body is made from resin panels, these are really heavy duty boxes, the lid is aluminium. 90 300 TDI SW (sold)

I have no idea where the name Laycorn came from, I have always known them as it. I am thinking of making the lid hinge rather than remove, it will only take a piano hinge. 90 300 TDI SW (sold)

What are the dimensions please, and could they be laid flat rather than standing on edge, or would the handles prevent them from fitting between the arches?

They will lay flat, as the handles are recessed in the side panel,

I agree, I know them as Thompson Boxes or Tommy Bins.

This type of box is known as a Laycon Box
