Try spraying the locking mechanism with wd-40.
It should work with the rest of the doors, with the first button press. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. Douglas Adams 2012 2.2 Puma |

Had a similar problem, although with a slightly earlier model. If you take the inside door pull handle and door card off there is a lock operating solenoid in the centre of the door. That operates a wire rod with a right angle pivot in it. The problem with mine was that the vertical rod, nearest the lock, was slightly fouling the door frame and not pushing as far as it should. I put a small piece of split plastic tube over the rod to act as a spacer and it's been ok since. Warranty job on a 2014 vehicle though? One wife - livid

I'll have to keep an eye on it to see when the door is not unlocking, Is there any reason why the back door would lock while the car was been driven.
The car is already booked to go back into the garage early March as I found a nice puddle in the passenger footwell after yesterdays rain. |
