Hi kevin,
What are these wheel arch strips you mentioned?? Are they spacers of sorts to move the factory spats outboard , or just new factory strips? Many thanks, Nick |

They are injection moulded things. They stop mud flicking in an arc past.

Ahhhh,
 , already have those fitted.
I was hoping someone had actually made some nice factory looking spacers to fit to the body, between the it and the factory spats, just to throw them outboard by an 1" or so to cover better the protrusion you get with 265's. |

Fitted the heat deflector also, great bit of kit. The Cubby Box bin is also a handy item for throwing bits in!

...and another heater deflector fitted here - what a stupidly simple but brilliantly effective little mod; cosmetically finishes the bottom of the dash off nicely too...

I arranged to receive one of these mudstuff heat deflectors as a christmas present. After fitting I couldn't find any improvement over the original set-up, I've given it ten days or so now and took it off earlier today. The improvement WITHOUT the heat deflector is significant. So sorry to think differently to you all but IHMO these things are a waste of money and actually provide less heat to your feet than the original set-up. 2.2 90 XS

The main improvement for me is the lack of burning leg

That's interesting John. I have no problem with burnt legs or cool feet on my standard setup either. (2013 110XS). I'm all for buying toys that improve the thing but thiese seem to me a solution in search of a problem. I' m happy that others are pleased but maybe they rerouted the airflow in 2.2s? 2003 Td5 110 Hardtop Now a 2013 110 USW too. |

I fitted one to my my13 2.2 110, On short trips you don't notice the difference, But drive for say 5+ hours with the heater flat out as it's -5 deg outside and you quickly become wearisome of an over heated left leg (or right if you happen to be SWHBO)... I bought one of these off Brendan at 4x4 Overlander... I initially though it wouldn't make much of a difference... How wrong was I. We did the same trip this New Year, In almost identical weather conditions and SWMBO didn't complain once.. Which means it must be working...
