Is normal then.

So was it the binding or lack of braking that lead you to swap to the x eng conversation?

The reason i brought the disc handbrake , hmm just another bolt on toy really if im honest

Check the battery earth where it bolts to the chassis and transfer box. Sometimes if the connections are bad the next best earth is the handbrake cable, its not as thick as battery cable ....so it gets red hot and makes the sleeve melt onto the inner cable, sticking handbrake and eventually the cable melts/snaps.

It was just a thought

Wow

Never heard of that. Thanks very much for the idea however I'm pretty sure that's not something I need to worry too much about but worth a check all the same.
