United Kingdom 2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Santorini Black
Help me please Landy friends my Puma 90 poorly!
Hi all

Within the last month i was the very proud owner of a brand new defender in the Overlander uniform and absolutely fell in love with it! Been out on a few drives of 25 mins and all is fine a dandy happy as punch.

Now I have a problem I started a journey to Devon and back to bring the caravan off site for winter season so from north wales it's a 5.30mins one way trip. On the way down we noticed a slight growl from the transmission tunnel in 6th gear from 1200 rpm to 2000 rpm after 1hours worth of driving. By the time we were on the return leg home this noise was coming through in all gears at same rpm intervals and when tried low range came through this aswell.

Now this is where the real problems started for myself as phoned landrover assistance and they took the landrover to Hatfields in Liverpool who said had a leaking rear axle seal and low oil from leaking transfer box seal. they repaired and I picked vehicle up! now on driving home approx 45mins into motorway drive low and behold the noise returned! Big Cry

I'm now very upset and Landrover are saying they cannot find problem and I have to go up to demonstrate waisting my time again! Rolling Eyes

Also the hire car they gave me was a standard 90 that made non of these noises I'm hearing.

I'm hoping you landrover bods can help me now as I don't want to loose the love for this iconic car but Landrover Hatfields Liverpool are starting to make this happen! Neutral

Ok thank you it only happens this noise after a good 45 mins of driving but it's defiantly not a normal happy Defender sound.

problem with dealers is they only take it 5mins down the road and it will never happen then!
