In many ways, the original Discovery was the best vehicle that LR ever made. More practical that the Range Rover it was based on, not significantly less rugged or more complicated than a Defender and would go pretty anywhere that they went but in more comfort. I covered thousands of miles in many different countries in mine and it was absolutely the tool for the job.

I would say the disco was the only motor that could be up there with the defender, Shame that died off sadly. When they decided to change the direction they were going. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
