isn't there a wiper control unit also does the interrmitant wipe as well , like a big relay in the fuse box , might be wrong sorry cant remember if it controls both
as doesn't it change the number of wipes when you wash when you change to 99 vw one , so think it does both controls ???? |

Yes there is labelled as D113 on page 501-16 - WIPERS AND WASHERS of the diagrams available from Dgardel's link here:

You need to dig about in his site. Not sure if this link will work but if it does it will take you directly to the diagrams.

Your 'muddy track' doesn't help with location but your flag does (I am in St Malo at the moment) bear in mind the diagrams there are for RHD.
