Anyone thought about 3D printing the Facia for a double din + buttons? We must be able to club together and make it happen between us for a fraction of the price?

Is there a copyright issue on items out of production? I guess whomever owns the tooling or rights to produce might be upset

^ The Cars out of production doesn't mean the double din / facial / switches / parts manufactures are.
I don't know if your allowed to copy them that's all, If someone could produce the file in autocad or similar I can try and print out. |

Well if the printers can print the full item including grille then all we need is a scanner which we can rent, I'd just need the original double din item. Failing that, there's probably some whizz bang way of spec'ing this in CAD as you say - might ask the fiancée as she does CAD models.
