Hello,
Today I am installing a new view behind camera and need to attach to the reversing light power. In the manual for the camera it says to me that I should use a relay if the reversing light is wired with a "variable voltage wire" or if not just wire direct to the light positive wire. I have no idea what this means or how I can test this. Do anyone know this answer which I hope is "no, the reversing light on a Defender does not use a variable voltage wiring"! It is 2008 90 SW. Many thanks Léo |

Perhaps also you know this: For sure the red wire from the light is the positive power. I connect that, but the black wire from the light is just going on a route to a ground point? So instead of looking to bolt the ground negative wire from the camera to the body someplace, I can "splice" to this black wire in the light?
My knowledge of vehicle electric systems needs improvement! |
