Hi folks,
just used whocanfixmycar.com to get some prices for re-gassing the air con on my MY15 Puma, and a note popped up saying prices include R134a gas but not the more expensive R1234yf gas. Can anyone please confirm which type it is on the newer Pumas? Have searched on here but can’t confirm. Cheers, Matt |

Normally there is a sticker under the bonnet to tell you what gas and how much it takes. I have not looked at a defender to see if that’s there though as am a new owner. Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.
5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |

Whoever is doing the re-gas, should be certified and they will know what refrigerant they are using.

Mine is a MY16 2.2. The sticker is on the radiator cowl.
R-134a Also gives quantities of gas and lubricant. |

Agree with Balvaig, my 2015 2.2 is definitely R134a. I too would be a little sceptical in letting them regas if they have to ask the customer what type is installed.
Kwikfit are offering discounts through Groupon so maybe worth checking them out. Defender 90XS SW Mini Countryman Cooper S Morgan Plus 8 |

Fantastic thank you all. There is a sticker on the rad cowl confirming the above.
I think it was an automated note regarding the type of gas. I’ve since looked on Groupon on have gone for ATS reduced from £60 to £38, thanks for that! Matt |
