They do seem pretty thin on the late Defenders, hence why mine is covered in Dinitrol. Don't want the rust getting a hold.
I'm not sure if i would be confident bolting a Nato tow hitch to the later ones.....it does look as though it would just bend, not a problem with a regular tow hitch as braced to the chassis,but if the Nato still bolts on there isn't much holding it. I towed 21 guns & beaters and 14 gundogs up a 1:5 flint hill road. I would hate to guess the weight including the Ivor cattle trailer... TC worked hard for the first time. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
