Places to try clay pigeon shooting in the South West/Bristol
All,

As there's been such a positive and knowledgeable response to another chap's request for advice re a shooting forum on here, I thought I'd ask a related question.

Bit of my background. I've shot rifles and shoot air rifles, and recently have scored a 'permission'. However, SWMBO who, bless her puts up with my other interests, and even peels bunnies with much more skill than I do, has recently expressed an interest in trying clay pigeon shooting. Now despite my background, I've never used a shottie.

I know there are several ladies' 'try shooting days springing up, and indeed apparently more women are taking up shooting than men. But she has expressly said she wants us to try this together.

So does anybody have any experience of the various clay places around or near Bristol and/or Somerset? Good, bad or indifferent? I could just buy one of those voucher/experience days, but I'd rather go to somewhere on the basis of a good recommendation.

Apologies for the delay responding all, been away with work all week. Many thanks for your responses and PMs.

I'll give brookbank a call tomorrow and see what they have to say.
