secure cubby
Does anyone have a recommendation for a secure cubby for a puma? I'd like one that I can use as an arm rest, but I believe the puma cubby's are shorter that the td5's because of the high-low lever?

The Mobile Storage Solutions is the nicest one that I have seen, with useful holes for plumbing in radios, iPods etc., but as you say there's less room on the Puma so you can't add the optional cup-holders to it.

Don't fall into a false sense of security with them though - I used to have the Mantec version, and a thief made short work of it with a crowbar. That said, they're worth it for keeping everything out of the reach of your opportunists. Peter

What is the point in a secure cubby box? The way I see it is that:

A. If someone is willing and able to break into your car they can more than likely get into your lockable cubby box too.

B. By having a lockable cubby box you are advertising that you have something valuable in your car that needs locking away.

This is why I have gone for a frontrunner under cubby box safe- you would never know it is there.....just restricted to what you can fit in it.

When mine was broken into while at the Stealers they took some stuff but gave up with the locked cubby box which was good as it had a GPS, a SatNav & 2 x Motorolla radios plus some other stuff in there. No doubt had they had more time they would have got into it.

I know with my insurance the contents are only covered if they are in a lockable compartment. So even if they did break in and steal the contents they are covered.
I found this out when I had my FL broken into. Contents in the boot were not covered Shocked 110 D250 SE HT

I have a mobile storage cubby box as does Bren, but we never lock them, they are really good sized places to put stuff out of general sight. We can supply them and I always reply to email, it is paper I have trouble with!!!
