Can't say I am especially fussed about sports cars, but I have been known to wind the windows down to listen to a Scania V8 pulling a full load...
That firm are local to me as well so I get a few opportunities! 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Of course, you can't beat the sound of the good old Land Rover six cylinder engine either - this one comes back from MOT today. -

I always wind the window down for an AMG V8 or other nice sounding engine.
Makes SWMBO moan, but hey, the engine sound drowns that out! |

Know what you mean diesel, we sold our C63 last year, & AMG certainly know how to get their exhausts "right".
Ya didn't have to be going fast or hard, no matter how you were driving, that beautiful "noise" was always there! Pickles. |

Forget all the 'tinny' sounding Italian ones. You want to get overtaken by a Bentley with a Merlin engine in it bass over treble everytime it reminded me of the Vulcan going vertical soon after take off
Although, talking of Italians, it's very difficult to beat the sound of a Duke 998 from 15yrs ago. Now that was heaven one regret I have of letting that one get away... |
