Hey if you have the time and the inclination then a separate thread specifically for this would be of interest to many on here.

Things I'd be interested in would be

1.What research you did, who you spoke to before deciding on the make you bought.
2. What kit you bought, who fitted and any issues, concerns or mods needed.
3. Update as you use them and your thoughts on how they have changed your vehicles abilities.

Thumbs Up

Great stuff, cant wait.

I have a SD cage on my current 90, but am thinking of selling the truck and want a cage on the new one, so just considering if I fit it myself or not.

I did read that the tolerances on the Defender are such that the cage can easily bend the body work as it tries to straighten it up..!

cheers

I've managed to get rid of the annoying knock from the back end ....

The rear axle ball joint had loads of play in it ... not good for a 4,000 miles

Replaced with a Glynn lewis HD one ..

Last week i started to get a really annoying squeak from the drivers side floor / seat box / trans tunnel area ..

It drive me mad on a 200 mile trip to wales and back ..

So i had a good look under the seat box to find most of the bolts loose Rolling Eyes

All tightened up and no squeak ... Typical land rover build quality .

Managed to get the cage fitted and a new mantec snorkel as the genuine one wouldn't fit with the cage

Grizz, love what you've done.

How does it handle with the portals? And has it effected the mpg much? 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone
2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW
