From what I read in the paper today, "Land Rover have shelved plans to stop defender production, just going to move it to a non EU country"

I enjoyed that, thank you for sharing. Unfortunately they will keep the defender name and bring out a family of products that fit that particular sales/marketing/product vertical. But when you tell people you drive a Land Rover, they know exactly what you've got. It's not the defender brand that should be a worry to JLR, it's the Land Rover brand. I visited a showroom yesterday and besides the defender, the only other product I could relate to was the disco. I hope the new version of this doesn't go the same way as the recent incarnations. |
