Australia 2013 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 CSW Keswick Green
The Bathurst 1000, The Great Race.
How many of you guys watch this?
I ALWAYS watch it. It's on TV here for around 2.5 days,...Australia's most popular motor race. Famously Ford V Holden, but this year with COTF (Car Of The Future), we've also got Volvo, Nissan & Mercedes,...all running 5L V8s with around 700HP.
Great weekend for me. Wifey looks after me on raceday (Sunday) with a "Bathurst Breakfast", ...fried eggs, bacon, sausages,tomatoes, mushrooms, fried potatoes, fried bread etc!!
Whilst race day is Sunday, the preceeding days are taken up with interviews, pit reports, practise, qualifying etc.

7 minutes to go, before Australia's most well known motor race television coverage commences,...for ELEVEN hours.
Lots of big drama/smashes/damaged cars etc in practise/qualifying yesterday, weather is perfect today, haven't a clue who will win!
Wifey is currently preparing my "Bathurst Breakfast",...I can smell it.

Well, it was a, "Great Race".
Lots of drama, accidents, breakages, stoppages,some AWESOME driving, and the result was not known until the last one third of the very last of 161 laps.
Can't wait for next year!
