2001 Defender TD5 X Tech edition (new springs fitted)
Just a couple of pictures of my 2001 TD5 90 X Tech edition

first 2 pictures are when i bought it in July and last 2 where last week
loads of things been replaced/changed but not a lot thats noticeable

so far new injector loom, full service, new uprated intercooler, new FPR, EGR delete, Bilstein B6 shocks, new LR steering damper, brakes all serviced and adjusted, new flap seals, door rubbers, complete Dinitrol cavity wax kit and under seal, LED dash bulbs

might change wheel colour to Satin Black or buy some Sawtooth alloys not decided yet

absolutely love it over the 200tdi Discovery it replaced, looking forward to some winter fun now Very Happy

Lovely truck Bow down
Now fit a decent alarm and a tracker Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Was going to fit some anti-roll bars but not decided yet fitting the Bilsteins has made a huge difference already
Maybe a remap and straight through middle section exhaust, then discovery transfer box gearing if I remap it

Looking good. Can you expain what sort of difference the Bilsteins have made (ie, how are they different from standard), as I may fit B6 Bilsteins myself at some stage. Did you change any suspension bushes?
Pickles.

they have tightened up the ride, less body roll now, slightly harsher over bumpy roads but feels fine on normal tarmac
feels alot more confident in the corners, all the bushes are good order and where replaced with LR originals before i purchased it

The originals i took off where shot on the front, the rears had just started to have play in them
car has covered 72,000 miles since new so where due to be changed anyhow

Some updated Pictures, fitted new clutch and flywheel recently, alloy radiator, new oil pump bolt while engine was out (peace of mind now) fitted new gaskets all round and new bushes in the transfer box selector

trying so decide on which set of road springs to fit now, much confusion and a nightmare getting prices of certain suppliers Evil or Very Mad

anyhow some fresh pictures after a wash and wax

still to fit my Gwyn Lewis front mudflap bracket and outrigger mud shields http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defen...2a47265e7d

and my Boomslang headlamp wiring loom
