2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 CSW Java Black

V8 county Vin number

Hi all
I have a land rover 90CSW V8 which had air conditioning from the factory because of the air con it has a full dash, this means the flaps are installed like the Puma.
It must have been have been owned by Landrover in the early days because it has a GWAC reg number. The VIN all tallies up with the year the engine and body style, the 6 figure vin number is 400002.
I have been communicating with the heritage trust but they can only tell me the build date of 1989 which is the reg of the vehicle.
One thing they did tell me was the first ever v8 is SALLBCAV2AA/100001 which is a series 3 built in 1978. This makes me think that the first number of he 6 figure serial number could be something to do with the model, so my serial could be the fourth v8 model chassis number 2 or is my thinking rubbish.
The reason for my long post is an interest in its past which is proving difficult ,I believe you can write to landrover but am I going to get the same reply it to was built in 89?
